My experience as an Italian voiceover actor in the videogames industry
As an Italian voice-over actor I particularly love working on the creation of the voice of the various characters in video games, this allows me to combine two different characteristics that are fundamental for me: the study of the historical context in which the scenes take place and the interpretation of the characters' mood that emerges through the script.
Creating an Italian voiceover even for single words and short phrases gives me the opportunity to express my deepest creativity to help the player enter even more into the atmosphere of the game stages.
Thanks to the ever-increasing technology employed by gaming companies, creating Italian voiceovers is like taking a real trip back in time, in which the contribution of the Italian voice actor is increasingly important, just like in the movies.
Recently I had the pleasure and the honor to collaborate as Italian voice talent for two very important videogames of strategic genre, famous all over the world, Total War: Rome Remastered (Feral Interactive / Sega) and Holdfast: Nations at War (Envil).
Total War (https://bit.ly/2QdYrCH) has been a true icon of the strategy genre for over twenty years and has inspired many other video games of the same genre, so much so that its creators have decided to make a new remastered version after thousands of requests received from gamers.
Holdfast (https://bit.ly/3tK1EaP) takes place in the epic battles of the Napoleonic period. This video game has also achieved great results among players, receiving more than 92% positive reviews from all over the world.
My work as an Italian voice artist will continue to develop even in gaming, one of my absolute favorites because it always represents new challenges and allows me to grow professionally by acquiring fundamental experience for my expressiveness.
